Does being based in New York — where streetwear brands are plentiful — work to your advantage when booking jobs?
Living in New York has definitely been an advantage for me when booking jobs. It has provided access to so many amazing brands, clients and magazines. I also think the constant visibility from living in a walkable city like New York can provide opportunities that may not be possible anywhere else.
How do you feel about falling into the unofficial category of official female streetwear/menswear model? Is it a role which developed in itself or something you or your agency set out for from the beginning of your career?
That is quite the contradictory title that I am both officially and unofficially flattered by. Haha! Thank you! I think that role stems from some brands’ appreciation of my personal style.

FASHION: Ronnie Fieg + Kith Present – The East Coast Project
Designer Ronnie Fieg and Kith team up for the creation of their ‘The East Coast Project’. Featuring some tatted models, they sport their collaboration in the set of photos that presents the project shot in Miami Beach. The project also features Play Cloths, Just Don, Golden Bear, Stance, Stampd, Herschel Supply Co. and Tina Catherine. The launch for the pop-up is set for May 2nd in the Kith location in NYC and Miami.

mcml is a new clothing brand which stands for the creators name, Myles Christopher Merritt-Lee. He is an inspring upper echelon fashion house and has his first t-shirt is creatively designed with his logo on the bottom of the tee in the front along with a graphic on the back and ’93′ on the left sleeve, which represents the year he was born. Myles is from the DMV, but is currently away in Miami for college although that isn’t stopping him from launching this new brand. NEW: DVOWR x Supreme Blazer Inspired 5 Panel Hats
DVOWR is doing something that is rarely seen in urban streetwear nowadays. Supreme dominates the streetwear culture and collaborates every now and then, but DVOWR created something INSPIRED by Supreme. The 2nd delivery of their 2013 Spring collection is titled “Supremacy” and is inspired by the 2006 Supreme x Nike SB Blazers. They used quilt-stitching on lambskin leather, twill, and finished it off with a snakeskin brim. In addition to that, they incorporated the gold from buckle on the shoes by using gold satin to frame of their label.
