A few weeks back, the University of Maryland held its annual spring concert, Art Attack. This year featured Boston-based hip-hop group The Dean’s List and Grammy-nominated rapper B.o.B. Bobby Hagens, the 22 year-old Maryland Artist/Songwriter and the head of the Movado Music Group (MVG) has dedicated his debut mixtape titled “My Beautiful Mind” to connecting with his audience and letting them into his inner thoughts and life. A closer look into his lyrics will reveal his true passions and the message of embracing one’s identity.
Linking up with other DMV artists like Phil Ade and Fat Trel only makes the project that much better in addition to the fact that the production of most of the songs are dope. For his first tape, this is very impressive. (more…)

sB!: C.R.E.A.M. (Camo Rules Everything Around Me)
Camo has really been a popular trend as of lately and sB! wanted to shed some light on this by showing the different ways Camo has been incorporated in fashion of today. We’ll show some pieces from certain brands along with pieces we caught around us from people walking by. It’s very interesting that we may not even realize it, make sure you pay attention to the dopeness and how C.R.E.A.M. really is true.

sB!: Zeak’s A.P.C Jean Sand Wash
During my vacation in Jamaica, I visited Dunns River Falls and decided this would be the most opportune time to get a great sand wash at the beach. I’ve only had them for about 5 months now, which is a pretty decent age for washing raw denim jeans. Many people wait after 5 months, a year and you have those who don’t wash their jeans at all. As you look through the pictures, you’ll notice how distressed and worn the jeans become after sand washing; the honeycombs, whiskers, even the pocket areas.
I was pleased with the results of the wash. One big complaint people have with their jeans post-beach wash is stinky saltwater musks. Personally didn’t experience any adverse odours since the wash.

Last weekend, the spoiledBROKE! team took a field trip with the Sneaker Cartel to the sneaker and clothing expo ShoeTopia 3 at the Icons Sports Lounge & Grille. Plenty of local clothing lines and stores participated in the event, including Commonweath, Lame Brotherhood, and Billions of Currency.
