At the beginning of 2014, Rodney Sawyerr began developing his own clothing brand entitled The Outsiders. In March of 2015, Rodney met his now and working partner, Menyelek Rose, a previously established designer. Now, Rodney & Menyelek have formed a partnership that intends to create the highest of fashion and create concepts within their aesthetic. The concept of the brand pertains to living outside the social norm and completely expressing individuality in addition to aspects of pride and empowerment in one’s self. Historic movements like the legendary “Black Panther” party heavily influence the brand and its direction. The Outsiders is a high end street wear clothing brand that mainly incorporates blacks and whites in various designs and shapes. The garments are specifically designed and modified to express a mysterious yet clean look. It is more than a clothing brand… it’s a lifestyle and mentality.
