As always, ahead of the game, Google never stops running! And we love it. After releasing Google Glass last year, you can simply guess where they’re taking their talents to next, and we’re not talking South Beach. Yes, a technological contact lens. Although it doesn’t serve the same purpose as Glass, this project is unique in its own way that measures glucose in tears using a wireless chip and miniaturized glucose sensor. While at a very early stage, Google hopes the technology could help people manage diabetes better. For those who were unaware, those diagnosed with diabetes in order to check their glucose levels are opted to prick their finger to complete a blood test. Google X works on extremely innovative, long term, but yet risky developments that may not become commercially successful but has extreme potential to change the way of living, for example- Google Glass, autonomous cars, and now this. Now that smart contact lens are being developed, imagine how much easier life would be? Check it out below!
