New York brand, KITH teams up with Bergdorf Goodman once again for their capsule collection. Check out the second round at the two’s collaborative efforts featuring Michael Imperioli of The Sopranos and Goodfellas. Nearly a year after it’s premiere, Nike is re-releasing the Air Jordan 1 “New York” and “Los Angeles” colorways. Priced at $160, the sneaker is now available for purchase at select Jordan Brand stores. Check out more photos for a better look.
Urs Fischer and Supreme come together to produce new skateboard decks for the 2016 S/S season. The New York brand and Swiss artist created three decks that showcases the three stages of smoking cigarettes along with the passage of time. Prepare for a release on March 24th in the U.S., while Japan will see a release on March 26th.
Them Magazine is a Japanese imprint that featured an editorial for Supreme‘s 2016 Spring/Summer collection, shot by Terry Richardson and modeled by Lucien Smith. Additional credits are due to the Art Director, Angelo Baque and the stylist for the shoot, Simonez Wolf.
Designer, Patso Dimitrov, used inspiration from regional Hip-Hop to reimagine a few NBA jerseys. The jerseys are subjected to new color themes as well as logo changes to draw in the hip-hop references to rappers who are from that area. For example, the Toronto Raptors jeresy, Dimitrov used the Toronto rapper, Drake‘s OVO brand, as inspiration. Also included in the reimagining are jerseys for the Detroit Pistons inspired by Eminem, Atlanta Hawks inspired by Outkast, New York Knicks inspired by Nas and Chicago Bulls inspried by Kanye West.
New York streetwear brand, KITH, releases their “Home Field Advantage” 2015 Spring collection lookbook. The collection has an all American baseball theme as the color palette is consistently red, white and navy. Comprised of baseball style shirts, short sleeved hoodies, jersey shorts and fishtail parkas, the collection is releasing alongside UNITED ARROWS & SONS, nano universe Shibuya and Slam Jam on April 18th. For those online shoppers, the collection will be available exclusively on KithNYC.com on April 17th at 11am EST.
Supreme drops their lookbook for the 2015 Spring/Summer collection. Continuing with their 90’s inspired style, Supreme plays with guady patterns and graphics within their pieces. The collection contains a number of sporty jackets, crewneck sweaters and much more. The colorful and vibrant lookbook can be seen below and the collection releases in New York/Los Angeles stores Frebruary 19th. Hip-Hop legend, Nas, relaunched his streetwear brand HSTRY and finally released their 2014 Fall collection lookbook. The brand was originally introduced in Fall 2013 with a collaboration with NYstyle arbiter, Grungy Gentleman. For this collection, there was said to have many changes and samples, but things came together and it is very pleasing. The brand really promotes the ‘cut and sew’ and the classic 80s/90s aesthetic within the collection’s sweatpants and sweatshirts. She reminds us of a different version of Jhene Aiko as she is always with the fellas but has a soft voice that sets her apart from the rappers and manages to blend with them as well. Last week, Northern Liberties hosted the 5th annual 2nd Street Festival in Philly where tons of games, food, music and art fill up 2nd street to bring tons of different people and cultures altogether. One aspect that sB! enjoyed while on the scene was the many different vintage shop vendors that were set up. We took down a list of our favorite vendors we came across, see below:
Travi$ Scott’s success has been constantly rising since his hook-up with Kanye on the G.O.O.D. Music Cruel Summer album. His solo project, Owl’s Pharaoh, has further gained him even more of a buzz and we heard he tore the stage down with his performance at SOBs in NY a few days ago. Our good friends over at @EMETakeover captured some footage of the performance, including songs like: “Quintana”, “Upper Echelon” and “Uptown”. Check it out below:
