Rick Ross returns with his ninth studio album, Rather You Than Me, as offers up his first visual from the project with “Trap Trap Trap” featuring Young Thug and Wale. Produced by Beat Billionaire, the track delivers a a great impression of what’s in store for the rest of the album which includes a crazy Birdman and Nicki Minaj diss track. During the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans, Wale announced during a press conference that he is working on a new Go-Go album. Paying homage to his hometown, fans will be happy to know he’s doing this and using Go-Go musicians to help him out as well as other artists including: Chris Brown and Tinashe. Wale is finally giving fans what they have been waiting for by revealing the release date of his fourth album, The Album About Nothing, for March 31st. After gifting fans with a little treat by dropping his mixtape with A-Trak, Festivus: The Album About Nothing back in late December, this is exciting news for fans of the DC rapper. Rick Ross also confirmed the date in a red carpet interview before the 57th Grammys Awards. While we have less than two months before the album drops, listen and download Festivus here.

Wale had been signed to Jay-Z’s management company, Roc Nation, since 2009 but decided to parts ways and sign with 77 North Management. That company was started by tennis pro, Andy Murray, and manages LeBron James as well. Wale’s manager decided to focus on sports and he will still be apart of MMG where he will release his Album About Nothing project soon.
In honor of the Mike Brown case and the protests in Ferguson, a lot of hip-hop artists have gone to support the cause. J. Cole did a song after visiting Ferguson and The Game decided to do the same alongside a list of more rappers. “Don’t Shoot” features Rick Ross, Diddy, 2 Chainz, Wale, TGT, Yo Gotti, Curren$y, Problem, Fabolous, DJ Khaled, Swizz Beats and King Pharaoh.
