THROWBACK THURSDAY: Mos Def Freestyle x Art of Rhyme (2000)
Back in 2000, there was a documentary called Freestyle: Art Of Rhyme that premiered about aspects of freestyling within hip-hop, directed by Kevin Fitzgerald. There was a segment focusing on “cyphers” and here is the clip of Mos Def freestyling to demonstrate how cyphers take place:
