ALBUM: Drake - Take Care

After push backs, leaked tracks and the Club Paradise Tour kicked off…Take Care is finally in stores and well worth the wait. Drake has had our attention since the summer with “Marvin’s Room” (everyone and their mom did a cover) “Club Paradise” and “Trust Issues”. Then he gave us some recent collabs with his YMCMB crew like “Make Me Proud” featuring Nicki Minaj and “The Motto” featuring Lil Wayne. The album deserves as much hype as he got with his first album Thank Me Later. Some people complain about his constant singing on songs, but that just shows his versatility as an artist. There is no doubt that Drake can rap, which he proves from his opening track “Over My Dead Body”. As much as people love to hate on Drake, it’s no question that his music is constantly progressing as his music still resembles his Comeback Season days. The other collaboration tracks are dope as well from his “Take Care” track with Rihanna to his “Buried Alive Interlude” with Kendrick Lamar…Birdman even makes a random surprising appearance on his “We’ll Be Fine” track. The album is definitely a mellow sound with a lot of lyrical appeal with the exception of a few tracks.
